Opportunities to ask final questions before the August 3 Primary Election

As we approach the Tuesday, August 3 primary election, Cromaine Library hopes to ensure that any last minute questions concerning the two ballot proposals for Cromaine are answered. Ceci Marlow, our library director is always available via phone and email (810-632-5200, ext. 105 and cmarlow@cromaine.org). In addition, please feel free to stop by and chat with Ceci or Linda Smith, Trustee to clear up any questions or concerns before Tuesday's vote.

Park and Read passes available this summer at Cromaine!

Park & Read allows library card-holders the ability to "check-out" a one-day pass into any Michigan state park or recreation area in lieu of the resident daily motor vehicle permit. This $6 savings also provides free access to the more than 500 events taking place in state parks throughout the summer. Passes are valid for seven days from check-out and can be used for one day at any one of Michigan's 98 state parks. Passes are valid for day-use only. The program is available through October 1, 2010.

Cromaine Library is thrilled to present Tutor.com to our patrons, both in the library and online. Students of all ages will benefit from the online tutor that is available from 10 am - 10 pm. The SkillsCenter Resource Library is available 24/7, and offers thousands of worksheets, tutorials, study guides and more!

Music for Dancing on the Lawn, Wednesdays in July, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Sign your family up to walk with us in Hartland's 75th Annual Memorial Day Parade. Registration sheets are at the Youth Department desk, sign up the whole family! Children must walk with an adult. Bring your favorite book, decorate your bike, wear your Cromaine T-shirt! Join us for the fun! We'll meet at Ore Creek at 11 am on Memorial Day. Don't miss the fun!

This Saturday as part of the Hartland Christmas shopping extravaganza, Cromaine is hosting its first ever Alternative Holiday Fair from 10-3 in the Village.

NetLibrary Audiobooks

Over 1,400 titles are available with new titles added each month. Click on the link, set up an account, and select your audiobooks. Listen to it on your computer or MP3 player. iPods now have limited supported - any book available in MP3 format may be used on an iPod. Books available only in WMA format still require a player supporting Digital Rights Management. See the list of device requirements and tested players, and view the attached powerpoint demonstration of the download process.
