The Friends group lends support, has fun, and raises funds for library equipment and programs. New members are always welcome. Watch for upcoming Friends Book Sales, whose dates are yet to be announced!

What is a Friend?
  · friend (frend) n. 1. (a) one attached to another by affection or esteem (b) acquaintance 2. one that favors or promotes something.

Who Are the Friends of Cromaine District Library?
  · The Friends are a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a closer relationship between the library and the community.

What Do They Do?
  · Promote awareness of the library's programs and services.
  · Provide direct financial assistance to purchase new equipment and materials and fund special programs for adults and children.
  · Provide volunteer assistance for library programs and services.
  · Raise funds through Book Sales, Copy Machine, Book Rentals, etc.

Join the Friends!
    Volunteer! Throughout the year Friends volunteers are needed to assist with fund raising events and a variety of library programs. When you join the Friends of the Library, you receive:
  ·  A 10% discount at Aria Booksellers in downtown Howell
  ·  A 20% discount at Little Professor in Fenton at Silver Lake Village
  ·  A 15% discount at Beloved Books in Linden
  ·  Invitations to special Friends' events
  ·  Take part in Preview Night at the Spring and Fall book sales
