If you are looking for some tasty treats with a fun, winter theme, check out what we made during our Tween No-Bake Treat program last week! All three treats are simple enough that children can help, too.
The program began with a simple, yet delicious, treat: chocolate covered pretzels! After the chocolate was melted and tweens dipped their pretzels in it, they were able to decorate them with sprinkles.

Our next project was “Grinch” popcorn, and I love this one because you can really make it your own, even if you are not a fan of The Grinch. It’s perfect for movie night! For simplicity’s sake, we used green food coloring in our big batch of marshmallow mixture, and attendees mixed in a variety of different ingredients, including more marshmallows, chocolate chips, sprinkles, and pretzels. Some even blended more food coloring into their mixture to make different colors!
We ended the program with edible snowmen, like this one, and they were adorable! This was another fun project where participants could use their imagination and were able to decorate their snowmen however they wished, and I loved how unique they all were.
Tween Night occurs every second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Please see our calendar for more details about upcoming events, and join us!
