Sign up after February 1st, and for a $25.00 donation to The Big Read, you will receive an early release of our Big Read Book "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien. Help us raise funds for our biggest Big Read yet by reading at home in your jammies with your favorite beverage on Sunday, March 14, 2010. No fancy ball you have to dress up for, no sitting for hours or listening to speeches, just take home a great book and read in the comfort of your own home - at your own pace. All we ask for in return is a photo of your reading or listening to this book - or any other - in comfort. Registration is required - location: Your own home!
Then you will want to join The Big Read Tribe 2010! If you have been frustrated by being too late to register for a "hot" Big Read program in the past, then you will want to Join The Tribe! Want a great seat, front or second row, but cannot get to the program extra-early? Join the Big Read Tribe 2010. Much like the multi-day music festivals you may have attended, this year Cromaine offers a Big Read Tribe button with priority seating and registration. Like those multi-day events, your $5 fee for the button which provides these “extras” will help to pay for an incredible line-up of programs, including music, Vietnamese finger food tasting, an exceptional exhibit and programs with award-winning authors, with, for the first time, the author of our Big Read book, "The Things They Carried", Tim O'Brien. Buy your button, then tell us what five programs you want to attend and we will sign you up, prior to opening of registration to be sure you have a place. Plus, at the program, when you present your button and are registered to attend, we’ll seat you in the reserved first few rows.
