Teen Programming.

May 1 to May 31 – Teen Summer Volunteers Applications Accepted

When: Monday, May 21, 2012 - All Day
Where: Second floor-Youth Display

We need you! Summer reading club brings in a lot of children to the library and if you enjoy working with children, shelving books, prepping for crafts, we sure can use your help. This year for the first time we will be interviewing applicants for the few slots we have, so come to the Village Library to get your application and bring it back with a parent’s signature. We will notify you for an interview. You must have finished 6th grade to apply.

Flubber

It’s gooey, stretchy, slimy, and bouncy. It’s flubber! Turn a few simple ingredients into hours of fun with your very own make-and-take flubber.

Skulls

Wednesday, October 7, 2009 - 5:00pm

Noah Scalin, artist and blogger, made one piece of skull art every day for an entire year. Using an assortment of supplies and Scalin’s book as inspiration, let’s see what kinds of skulls you can create. Some examples will be on display through El Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead on November 2nd.

TAB (Teen Advisory Board)

Thursday, October 1, 2009 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm

All 7th-12th graders are welcome to join the Teen Advisory Board. Meet once a month to help plan and carry out programs and events, volunteer in the youth department, meet new friends, support your library and community, and talk about books, music, and movies. Join us for our first TAB meeting of the school year. Snacks provided.
