Wireless Printing

Cromaine's public printers are available to wireless users. The only requirements are
  • a library card having a sufficient balance
  • a laptop with Windows 2000, XP, or Vista.
Printing costs $0.10 per page for black and white, and $1.00 per page for color. The first time you print, you will automatically receive a $0.20 credit on your account. You must print at least one page before adding additional funds.

In order to use this service, you must download and run a small application which will allow access to our public printers. When you close the program or shut down your machine, it will remove itself and our printers.

When logged in to the library's wireless network, a link to the print client will appear above this text. Click the link to download and run the print client, and follow the instructions below.

I: Run the Print Client

Your computer will ask whether to run the file or save it. Click Run. Note: Depending on your browser and security settings, it may be necessary to save the print client and run it from your computer. 02.jpg
If your browser produces a security error and asks you to confirm that you would like to run this file, click 'Run'. 03.jpg
The software will decompress and run. When it is complete, you will be left with a minimized window labelled 'LPT:One' print client. Leave this open until you are finished printing.

If a window entitled "CScript.exe" remains open, you may minimize or otherwise ignore it until you have finished printing.		 04.jpg

II: Print

Print your document. When the Print dialog appears, the library's printers will be listed in addition to any printers you may already have installed. The available printers are:
  • At Cromaine Library in the Village:
    • 1st Floor BW - Black and White, $0.10 per page, printer located located at Cromaine Village on the first floor.
    • 1st Floor Color - Color, $1.00 per page, printer located at Cromaine Village on the first floor.
    • 2nd Floor BW - Black and White, $0.10 per page, printer located located at Cromaine Village on the second floor.
    • 2nd Floor Color - Color, $1.00 per page, printer located at Cromaine Village on the second floor.
  • At Cromaine Crossroads:
    • Crossroads BW_ - Black and White, $0.10 per page, printer located located at Cromaine Crossroads.
    • Crossroads Color_ - Color, $1.00 per page, printer located at Cromaine Crossroads.

The first time you print during a session, LPT:One will request a User ID. Enter the entire barcode from the back of your library card, without spaces. 07.jpg
A dialog will appear to verify the page count and price of this print job. 08.jpg
When the job has been sent to the printer, you will receive a success message. 09.jpg
