 eation Area! We meet in the parking lot, then venture through a trail at t
 he park to forage, and learn about, common Michigan spring mushrooms, incl
 uding edible, medicinal, and gourmet fungi. Register online or by phone. 
 Location and Program Details: This program takes place at Brighton State 
 Recreation Area, and we are meeting at the parking lot of the Mountain Bik
 e Trailhead to begin our mushroom hunt at 10:00 am. If you can, please arr
 ive a few minutes early! As with all state parks and recreation areas, yo
 u will need a Recreation Passport to enter the park. If you do not have on
 e, you can use your Cromaine Library card to access a day pass from Michig
 an Activity Pass! Our mushroom ID guide, Andrew, will be taking us into t
 he woods in search of wild mushrooms! Proper hiking gear is recommended: p
 lease dress for the weather (including rain), wear hiking boots if you hav
 e them, and bring a water bottle and snack if you'd like. Be prepared
  for outdoor terrain and uneven ground, though we do not plan to move quic
 kly.
