Discover Michigan with your Michigan Activity Pass! Whether you're looking for an epic camping trip, a serene getaway, a captivating day at the museum, or any other Michigan adventure, you're sure to find an amazing local venue to explore with the online resource Michigan Activity Pass (MAP).
What is MAP?
MAP is a statewide collaborative program between Michigan’s public libraries and participating partner destinations. It provides library cardholders the opportunity to discover and learn more about participating cultural destinations, parks, campgrounds, and recreation areas in the state, either for free or at a discounted rate! This program ensures that all library cardholders have access to the many amazing destinations that await them in Michigan.
Patrons can check out one MAP pass per library card every seven days, and have seven days from the date it was reserved to use it. New participants join the MAP program on a regular basis, so be sure to check the MAP website for updated information on which venues are available!
This resource is provided by the Library Network and sponsored by the Library of Michigan, the Library Network, Huron-Clinton Metroparks, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Department of Natural Resources, and Library Cooperatives of Michigan.
What Destinations Can I Visit with MAP?
You can visit a variety of Michigan's cultural destinations, state parks, recreation areas, campgrounds, museums, art centers, and more with your Michigan Activity Pass! Some popular destinations include the Howell Nature Center, SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium, and Belle Isle Park. Families will love access to fun and educational destinations like the Mid-Michigan Children's Museum in Saginaw and the Peppa Pig World of Play in Auburn Hills, and those looking to learn can explore venues like the Carnegie Museum in Port Huron or the U of M Museum of Natural History in Ann Arbor. Nature fanatics can enjoy access to a variety of local state parks, wildlife refuges, gardens, Oakland County Parks, and the Huron Clinton Metroparks all over the state! There's something for everyone with the Michigan Activity Pass.
A particularly exciting venue this time of year, that is available to you at a discounted rate through MAP, is the Michigan Renaissance Festival! Library patrons who use the promotion code Corp2025 will save $5.45 per ticket for this year's festival, on any date.
