Get Creative with Cromaine! Art & Craft Programs for All

With hARTland Art Walk officially underway, we're ecstatic to get crafty this fall! The Art Walk Kickoff Event was a huge success, with plenty of opportunities for crafting, community, and connection. Now until October 4, a variety of amazing art pieces are displayed throughout Hartland-- from Thread Creek Coffee to Settlers Park to your Cromaine Library! Be sure to visit each location to experience artwork of all kinds — painting, sculpture, photography, fiber arts, and more -- and to vote for your favorite pieces! The winners of each age group will be announced at the Closing Day celebration on Saturday, October 4 at 12:00 pm at Settlers Park.

Plus, don't miss this weekend's Art Walk event on Saturday, September 27 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm! Join us in the Village of Hartland to enjoy Spinning Yarns: A Fiber Arts and Weaving Celebration, and event focused on the amazing history of handweaving in Hartland. Learn about the history of our little town, and how it became the third-largest handweaving industry in the United States in the 1930s and 40s, with a video screening and discussion at the Music Hall, live weaving and spinning demonstrations at the Library, and history & textile exhibits at the Florence B. Dearing Museum! This event is perfect for families, history buffs, artists, and anyone curious about Hartland’s unique story.

When Art Walk is done, the creativity continues! There are plenty of opportunities for crafting & creating at your Cromaine Library in October-- from Preschool Pasta Crafts to DIY Halloween Flower Pots for the grownups, and plenty of spooky crafting opportunities to celebrate Halloween! Explore the many ways you can get creative with Cromaine below, and visit our online calendar to sign up for events!
